DIY Rainbow Painted Nutcrackers
It's the most wonderful time of year (depending on when you are reading this - but obviously we mean the holiday season) ... and what makes it so wonderful, aside from you know, togetherness, quality time, etc. ... is the decor! The nutcracker is a traditional holiday favorite for decorating, but true to our own traditions here at COLORSHOT, we decided to DIY a set of RAINBOW nutcrackers because we love COLOR no matter what time of year it is!
What you need:
- COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (desired colors)
- Wood nutcracker figurines (can be metal or plastic as well)
- Plastic surface cover to protect work surface
- Painter's tape (if needed for any masking)
Make sure your nutcracker figurines are clean and free of any dust.
If there are any parts of the nutcrackers you don't want painted, you can mask them off with painter's tape.
If the nutcrackers you are painting are wood or metal and have a slick surface, you might want to try spraying a coat of Primer before adding color.
In a well-ventilated area, spray several light coats of color onto each nutcracker, letting dry in between coats. When you are happy with the coverage, let dry completely.
Once they're completely dry, set up your rainbow painted nutcrackers and make a statement with your holiday decor this season!
