How To Spray Paint Wood with COLORSHOT
Spray paint is a quick and easy way to give items a whole new look without spending a ton of money or effort. If you're wondering how to spray paint wood, we have some super simple tips for you using COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint for head-turning color that lasts.
Make sure your item is clean and free of any dust. To create a fun geometric design like we did, try using painter's tape to mask off your shape. You'll want to cover over any part of the item that you aren't painting to protect from overspray. (We like using heavy paper or plastic or even additional tape.)
First spray a basecoat of primer onto the wood item to create a smooth base your color can adhere to. Let your base dry, then spray several light coats of color over it, letting dry between coats. Tip: shake the can vigorously for at least 1 minute before beginning to apply color, then continuously shake the can of spray paint while applying color for best results.
When you are happy with your coverage, remove the tape and let dry completely.
COLORSHOT works permanently on a variety of surfaces, so feel free to go a little (or a lot - we vote for a LOT) crazy with color on your projects! Is your mind blooming with ideas yet?!
