Let your little one choose which COLORSHOT shades they want for their play kitchen set— this project uses Extra Guacamole for the base, paired with Treasure Chest, Lucky Penny, Silver Lining, and First Million for shiny metallic accents!

Step 2: Disassemble and prepare the play kitchen set for painting

Disassemble and prepare the play kitchen set for painting

Use a screwdriver to carefully disassemble your kids’ play kitchen, setting aside any screws for reassembly later. We recommend lightly sanding shiny surfaces and using COLORSHOT White Primer for maximum adhesion and color vibrancy. Use painter’s tape to cover any areas of the play kitchen set that you don’t want painted. Make sure all components are clean, dry, and free of dust or debris before painting. Lay the pieces of the play kitchen set out on a drop cloth in a well-ventilated area to protect the surrounding area from overspray.

Step 3: Apply spray paint to the play kitchen set

Apply COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint in Extra Guacamole to the play kitchen set base

Shake the can of spray paint well and apply to your project in smooth, even strokes. Allow the paint to dry to the touch before applying additional coats as desired. This project uses COLORSHOT in Extra Guacamole to give the kids’ play kitchen a beautiful green base!

Apply COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint in Treasure Chest to the play kitchen set legs and hardware

Repeat this process to paint the rest of your play kitchen set. The legs and hardware, such as the stovetop, faucet, handles, knobs, and buttons, of the play kitchen set get a luxurious new look with COLORSHOT in Treasure Chest. This dark gold metallic shade creates an elegant contrast with the olive green base!

Apply COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint in Silver Lining to the play kitchen set ice and water dispensers
