Fall Bar Cart Flip with Metallic Spray Paint
Bar carts are great for serving up more than just beverages; they’re a perfect accent piece for displaying seasonal goodies too! Have you shopped around for one, only to be discouraged by the price tag? This tutorial from Brianna Brown shows us how to turn a basic thrift shop find into a chic new bar cart using COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint and rustic wood panels—just in time for fall!
What you need:
- COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (this project uses First Million)
- 3-Tier metal rolling cart
- Wood paneling
- Measuring tape
- Power saw
- Power sander or sandpaper (optional)
- Wood stain or paint of your choice (optional)
Spray paint your cart using several light coats
Before you get started on your project, thoroughly clean your rolling cart. In a well-ventilated area, spray the cart with several light coats of First Million (or color of choice), letting dry between coats.
Measure and cut the wood panels
If you’re adding wood panels to your cart, measure and cut the pieces to fit the bottom of the trays.
Sand the wood panels
Smooth out any rough edges from the wood panels using sandpaper or a power sander.
Stain or paint the wood panels
To give your wood paneling a finished, high-end look, stain or paint it to complement your bar cart color.
Fall metallic bar cart with spray paint
Once all the pieces have fully cured, place the wood panels at the bottom of each tray. Fill your new bar cart with goodies, and get ready to welcome fall in custom style!
