Custom Spray Painted Christmas Doormat
Welcome the Christmas season with COLORSHOT! This easy DIY uses COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints in a fun, festive palette to create a custom Christmas doormat. Bring some holiday cheer to your doorstep and spread the Christmas spirit with vibrant colors and one-of-a-kind designs!
Supplies Needed:
COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (This project uses Kale, Cash, Farmer’s Daughter, and Stiletto)
COLORSHOT Clear Sealer Matte (optional)
Doormat
Painter’s tape
Stencils
Step 1: Select spray paints for your custom Christmas doormat
Select which COLORSHOT shades you want to use for your Christmas doormat. For this project, we’re using Kale, Cash, Farmer’s Daughter, and Stiletto for a fun take on the classic red and green Christmas palette!
Step 2: Apply stencil and masking tape to Christmas doormat
Place the stencils onto the doormat in your desired position, then secure into place with painter’s tape. Use more painter’s tape to cover any areas of the Christmas doormat that you don’t want painted.
Step 3: Apply spray paint to the Christmas doormat
Place your Christmas doormat onto a drop cloth in a well-ventilated area to protect from overspray. Shake the can of spray paint well and apply in smooth, even strokes. Allow the paint to dry to the touch before applying additional coats as desired. For extra durability, finish with a coat of COLORSHOT Clear Sealer to protect your painted designs! Once you’re satisfied with the color and coverage, carefully remove the painter’s tape and stencils from your custom Christmas doormat.
Step 4: Display your Christmas doormat!
Once the spray paint has completely cured, you can display your custom Christmas doormat. Place this merry and bright welcome mat outside your door to welcome your guests in festive style!
