Craft Room Decluttering: Painted Storage Baskets
Storage baskets are always a good idea for keeping craft room clutter to a minimum. They're perfect for housing paints and other art supplies, decorative papers, magazines, you name it. Rather than spending a fortune on a big cabinet, you can organize storage baskets on simple shelves for a super chic look, especially when you customize them to match your fancy new craft room. How can you do this? You guessed it - with COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints! With a roll of painter's tape and your favorite spray paint colors, you'll have colorful storage baskets for decluttering your craft room in no time.
What you need:
- COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints (Mermaid and Island Girl shown here)
- Storage baskets
- Painter's tape
- Heavy painter's paper
Wipe down your storage basket to make sure it's clean from dust and lint, etc. Use painter's tape to tape off the bottom half of the basket. Cover the top section of basket with heavy paper and tape to protect from overspray. Spray several light coats of Island Girl onto the exposed part of the basket, letting dry between coats.
Once Island Girl is dry, use painter's tape to mask off the top portion of the bottom half, so only the bottom fourth of the basket is exposed. Paint this section with Mermaid and let dry. Remove all tape and paper. Missed a spot? You can use COLORSHOT Paint Markers for any touchups!
Don't these storage baskets make you want to put things away?! We're loving this striped color combo - it really pops!
Craft room decluttering never looked so good! Such fun, easy ways to get organized and inspired!
