Black and Silver Ombre Christmas Tree
Create a Christmas tree that's as fashionable as it is festive! This totally chic black and silver ombre tree is so easy to create using COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints. Paint everything from your tree to the ornaments for a fresh new way to deck the halls this holiday season. You can stick to black and silver like we did, or try any color combo you like (we have lots to choose from)!
What you need:
- COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (we used Primer, Bubble Bath, Smoke & Mirrors and Smolder)
- Faux Christmas tree
- Glass or plastic ornaments
- Tree star
- Skewers
If your tree comes with lights attached, first you'll want to tape around all of the bulbs so as not to accidentally coat with spray paint. Spray the tree with a basecoat of Primer and let dry.
Once your basecoat is dry, starting at the top of your tree, spray Bubble Bath onto the top third, spraying several light coats and letting dry in between coats. Once you are happy with your coverage, move on to the next section.
For the middle section, spray several light coats of Smoke & Mirrors, blending slightly into the top section and letting dry in between coats. Once you are happy with your coverage, move on to the bottom section.
On the bottom third of your tree, spray several light coats of Smolder, blending slightly into the middle section and letting dry between coats.
Match your ornaments to your different sections. Remove the hangers and prop the ornaments on a tool like skewers so you don't have to touch the bulbs as you paint. Spray several light coats of color. Spray the hangers too if desired.
Spray paint your tree star with Bubble Bath, spraying several light coats until you are happy with the coverage. Prop on the top of your tree when it's dry!
Once all of your ornaments are dry and ready, hang them in their matching sections on the tree for a true ombre look. Forget the mistletoe ... everyone will want to spend time by this tree instead during your holiday festivities!
